Want to support Literacy Services, but not sure how to best utilize your time, talent and treasure? Attend a lunch briefing to learn more about Literacy Services and our vital role in the community. Joe Flanner Memorial Golf Outing

Join us in early August of 2009 for the 17th annual Joe Flanner Memorial at the New Berlin Hills course.

The 2008 Joe Flanner Memorial Golf Outing was a huge success. The golf course was filled with more than seventy golfers. Through golfing, a live auction and more the event raised over $8,500 for Literacy Services of Wisconsin.

LSW Annual Book Sale

The 2009 Book Sale will take place in September. Check back here for more information next year.

The 2008 Milwaukee Spelling Bee

Congratulations to the 2008 Milwaukee Spelling Bee champions, Roundy's Supermarkets. "Roundy's Alphabet Soup" fended off Briggs & Stratton in a championship round tie-breaker.

Annual Tutor Conference

The 2008 Annual Tutor Conference is on November 12th - 14th. Please call Literacy Services to register. November 12th and 13th will focus on the ABE Comprehensive program with Tina Strassbaugh from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Friday November 14th will feature sections on ESL and GED at 8:30 am and continue through lunch.

Holiday Party

Join us for fun and festivities in mid December at our annual Holiday Party. This year's Holiday Party will take place on Saturday, December 13th. Refreshments, musical entertainment, and other activities will celebrate a year of learning and working together.

2009 Honors Reception

Our annual celebration of achievement. Please join us as we recognize students and tutors for significant achievement throughout the year. The 2009 Honors Reception will be held Saturday May 30th.
